Typically, the most common reason your car won’t start is because you have a dead battery.

How to Check if Your Battery is Dead:

Turn on your headlights or windshield wipers to test if it’s a dead battery. These features are battery operated and will only work if your battery’s not dead.

  1. If your lights or wipers turn on, your battery isn’t dead. It may be a different issue— like the ignition switch.
  2. If this is an ongoing problem, you may need to clean out any corrosion around the battery. If this still persists, it may be time for a new battery.
  3. To fix these, either jump start the vehicle or replace the battery. If you need a tow to the auto shop, call Marietta Wrecker at (770) 767-0569.

2. Not the battery? It could be a bad ignition switch.
